PACE Central Michigan is seeking a Quality Administrative Assistant to support quality initiatives, ensure regulatory compliance, and assist with data tracking and reporting across the organization.
Responsibilities Will Include: The Quality Administrative Assistant provides support to the Quality Manager to progressively improve the quality of participant care at PACE Central Michigan.
- Assists the Quality Manager with evaluating, designing and implementing the Quality Improvement Program to ensure compliance with State and Federal regulations governing PACE.
- Understands regulations encompassing PACE operations and serves as a resource to the Interdisciplinary Team on related matters.
- Actively participates in QI processes, working closely with supervisor on chart audits; the development, implementation and monitoring of Performance Improvement Projects; data collection for required reporting; and other projects as requested.
- Monitors and provides assistance with quality and compliance functions related to Grievance, Appeal and Service Determination Request processes; assessment completion and care planning; and others as assigned.
- Performs routine auditing of participant charts, ranging from admission through discharge.
- Communicates issues pertaining to the accuracy, content, and quality of the medical record with the appropriate staff and ensures corrective action is completed.
- Develops quarterly agenda, facilitates, and ensures follow-up for the Participant Advisory Committee.
- Provides initial training to new hires and ongoing training to existing staff on QI processes as requested.
- Attends morning IDT meetings to answer questions and provide input regarding compliance-related matters.
- Participates in required staff meetings and trainings.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Education and/ or experience and Licensure:
Education: Associates Degree preferred but not required in related field or equivalent experience required
Experience: 3+ years working in a healthcare quality improvement role
