You are changing lives of the youth in our Michigan communities. Because of your generosity, we had the privilege of awarding a B.E.S.T. Community Grant to Eagle Village. This outstanding organization is strengthening and enhancing education programming to serve our youth. Schools no longer have the funding to train outside of standardized curriculum so children often lack the opportunity to get specialized training in additional life skills areas. Eagle Village is creating a Career and Trades Center where youth can build these essential skills. The B.E.S.T. grant funding will be used to equip classrooms, labs and teachers with the tools needed to successfully implement training certification opportunities in the areas of:
- Home Health Care
- Home Maintenance
- Custodial
- Vehicle Maintenance
- ServeSafe Food Handling
- IT Certification
- Robotics
All of these programs utilize the equipment and supplies that are specific to the requirements of the certification curriculum.
