Leading by Example in Every Walk of Life
Ted Snow was a man whose life reflected a deep commitment to faith, family, community, country, and Freemasonry. At the time of his passing, he was serving as Worshipful Master of Warren Lodge No. 427, a role that exemplified his dedication to Masonic principles and his fellow brothers. He was also a 32° Mason and an active member of the Bay City Scottish Rite Consistory, as well as a member of Coleman Chapter No. 282, Order of the Eastern Star.
Freemasonry was truly a family tradition for Ted. He and his loved ones shared a strong commitment to Masonic values, with his wife, daughter, and niece all actively participating in the Order of the Eastern Star. His influence within the fraternity was deeply appreciated by the members of his lodge, and his many Masonic accomplishments earned the respect and admiration of both his Masonic family and his own family.
Ted’s service extended beyond the lodge room. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II, answering the call of duty during one of the most significant periods in our nation’s history. Following his military service, he built a distinguished career with Dow Chemical, where he worked for 32 years before retiring in 1982.
A man of strong faith, Ted was a devoted member of Sanford United Methodist Church. He generously shared his time and talents in numerous leadership and service roles, including Financial Secretary, Trustee, Usher, Administrative Council member, and participant in the church’s Memorial Gift Fund. His dedication to his church reflected his lifelong commitment to serving others.
Ted was equally devoted to his community. For many years, he served as Jerome Township Treasurer and also held the position of Justice of the Peace. Through these offices, he earned a reputation for integrity, responsibility, and public service.
Throughout his life, Ted remained actively involved in his church, his community, his lodge, and, above all, his family. He exemplified the values of service, leadership, and compassion. His legacy lives on through the countless lives he touched, the organizations he strengthened, and the family and friends who continue to honor his memory. Ted Snow will be remembered not only for his many accomplishments, but for the character, dedication, and quiet leadership that defined his life.
