Bob joined the Masons shortly after we were married in 1968. He loved his time with the Masonic organization and was a proud member of Plymouth Lodge No. 47 in Plymouth, Michigan.
Bob was born in Toledo, Ohio, and lived in several states before settling in Michigan. From 1957 to 1959, he served in the U.S. Marine Corps, deploying from Camp Pendleton to the Philippines and Japan. Following his honorable discharge, he enrolled at Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, Michigan, where he earned both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in biology and counseling. After teaching for two years, he began his career with Ford Motor Company, retiring in 1997. He later earned an additional Master of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from Central Michigan University.
Bob was the loving father of three daughters, grandfather to six grandchildren, and great-grandfather to three great-grandchildren, with one great-great-grandchild born after his passing.
A talented craftsman, Bob created beautiful leaded-glass pieces, built clocks, and enjoyed painting and woodworking. He was an avid golfer who loved to travel. During retirement, he made his home in both Michigan and Florida, embracing the snowbird lifestyle.
Bob never met a stranger. He loved life and was a devoted husband and father. He is deeply missed.
