The Harvest of a Well-Lived Life
George and I were married for 70 years before his passing in 2023. He was very active in Blue Lodge Masonry throughout his life. He served as Master of Sunfield Lodge and later as Secretary in his later years until the lodge closed. Following its closure, the members transferred to Mulliken Lodge No. 412. George also served as a DDI while affiliated with Sunfield Lodge.
We were full-time farmers and worked side by side for many years. George loved Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. We owned deer hunting property near Rapid River and a home in Gladstone, where he enjoyed fishing on Little Bay de Noc.
We have two sons and one daughter, all of whom we are very proud.
George was also a life member of Saladin Shriners in Grand Rapids. He received his Life Membership honor on January 5, 2007.
