A Heart of Gold and a Hand of Friendship
Danny G. Stevens moved to Michigan the day after graduating from high school. He began his career at National Steel, where he worked faithfully for 32 years. After retiring, Danny returned to his hometown of Morehead, Kentucky, while maintaining his membership in his Michigan lodge. He later served with the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office as a court security guard, a role he carried out with dedication and pride.
Danny and I were married for 33 years before his passing in 2022. He joined the Masons at an early age and remained a devoted member for 46 years. His last active lodge was Golden Ark Lodge No. 595, where his commitment and service were deeply valued.
Danny’s greatest hobby was swapping and trading pocketknives, an interest that connected him with people from all walks of life. He was truly a people person, blessed with a heart of gold, and he touched countless lives wherever he went.
He is dearly missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
