Total Masonic Service: 43 Years

August “Augie” Meyer dedicated 43 years of faithful service to Freemasonry and the Shrine, organizations that held a special place in his heart throughout his life.

Augie was a proud member of Coloma Lodge No. 162 in Coloma, Michigan, and Lake Shore Lodge No. 298 in Benton Harbor, Michigan. At Coloma Lodge, he progressed through the line of officers, demonstrating his commitment to Masonic values, leadership, and brotherhood.

He was also an active member of Saladin Shrine in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where he advanced through the ranks and was honored to serve as Potentate in 2000. Augie greatly enjoyed riding mini bikes with the Berrien County Shrine Club, and he held several leadership positions within the club during his years of service.

The Masonic fraternity was an important part of Augie’s life. His dedication, leadership, and fellowship touched many lives and left a lasting legacy among his Masonic brothers, Shrine family, and the communities he served.
