Anthony “Tony” Munie was proud to be a Mason, having joined at a young age and remaining dedicated to the fraternity throughout his 51 years of membership.
Tony possessed an exceptional mind and a remarkable creative spirit. An artist at heart, he excelled in glasswork and pottery, bringing beauty and craftsmanship to everything he created. He had a unique ability to see potential in things others might overlook, often repurposing, restoring, and reinventing items with skill and imagination. Whatever Tony built was made to last and reflected the pride he took in his work.
Gardening was one of Tony’s greatest joys. Each year, he eagerly anticipated the arrival of spring so he could begin planting his vegetable garden. He especially enjoyed harvesting and sharing the morel and oyster mushrooms that grew in his yard, along with the blueberries and figs he carefully cultivated.
Tony’s intelligence extended far beyond his artistic talents. He had a gift for solving problems and finding practical solutions to nearly any challenge, which always made me feel safe. His wisdom, resourcefulness, and willingness to help others provided comfort and reassurance to those who knew and loved him.
Never one to sit idle, Tony was constantly engaged in new projects, pursuits, and interests. His curiosity and enthusiasm for life kept him active and fulfilled, always finding something meaningful to do.
Among the many things he loved, daffodils held a special place in his heart. They remain a lasting symbol of his spirit and will forever be remembered as Tony’s flower.
Tony’s creativity, kindness, wisdom, and dedication to those around him leave a legacy that will be cherished for years to come.
