A Steadfast Life of Faith, Fellowship, and Family
In honor of the Masons’ 200th Anniversary, we proudly remember Dale E. Borders, a devoted husband, father, community member, and Mason.
Dale was born in 1939 to Ellis and Thelma Borders of Marion, Michigan. In 1959, he married the love of his life, Donna J. Long, and together they built a wonderful family, raising three children.
After graduating in 1957, Dale served his country honorably in the United States Army for three years. He then began a successful career with Consumers Power, where he worked for 30 years before retiring.
In June 1976, Dale became a Mason and found great pride and purpose in the fraternity. He was a Life Member of James A. Cliff Lodge No. 424 and remained dedicated to Masonry throughout his life. At the time of his passing, he had been a Mason for 47 years, exemplifying the principles of brotherhood, service, and integrity that are central to the Craft.
Dale was also an active member of the United Methodist Church in both Weidman and South Lyon, as well as a member of the Lions Club, reflecting his lifelong commitment to faith, fellowship, and service to others.
Dale’s legacy lives on through the family he loved, the friends he cherished, and the many lives he touched through his community involvement and Masonic service. He is remembered with deep affection and gratitude by all who knew him.
