· Full-time and Per Diem Night Shift 6p-6a
Job Duties to include but not limited to:
· Assists residents with activities of daily living, laundry, and housekeeping to support the highest level of independent function.
· Participates in daily housekeeping chores to maintain a safe, clean environment throughout the assigned area.
· Performs first aid and follows established policies on residents after incidents or accidents.
· Observes and reports changes in the resident’s condition. Participates in originating and following through on the resident’s individualized plan of care.
· Assists residents during the dining experience. Preps tables, delivers trays, assists residents as needed and cleans dining area after meals.
· Coordinates and supports leisure time activities in collaboration with the Life Enrichment Department.
· Timely and accurate documentation to include, but not limited to, vital signs, cares, and dietary intake as assigned.
· Administers prescribed medications to residents in accordance with facility policies, physicians’ orders, and state/provincial regulations.
· Ensures accurate documentation of medication administration, including time, dosage, and any resident responses or refusals, in the medication administration record (MAR).
· Observes residents for any adverse reactions or side effects from medications and reports concerns promptly to the licensed nurse or healthcare provider.
· Maintains proper storage, handling, and security of medications, including controlled substances, in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
· Collaborates with RN Clinical Leadership and interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive resident care.
· Maintains up-to-date knowledge of medication administration best practices and attends required training sessions.
Education and/or Experience:
· High school diploma or recognized equivalent (GED).
· Current and unencumbered Certified Nurse Aide certification as provided by the State of Michigan, required.
· Knowledge of proper medication handling, including dosage calculations and side effect monitoring preferred
· Experience in long-term care preferred.
