Position Summary:
The Office Assistant provides high level, proactive, and support for the Grand Lodge of Michigan’s Director of Corporate Operations as well as the Grand Lodge of Michigan team.
Also performs related duties as required to meet the Mission, Vision, and Values of Michigan Masonic Home.

- Supports the Grand Lodge team with general office duties to include, but not limited to, providing clerical support and obtaining and maintaining supplies as requested.
- Assists with supply orders for office areas using appropriate departmental account numbers as appropriate and as directed.
- Maintain office filing systems, both electronic and paper.
- Prepare and distribute correspondence, reports, and other documents.
- Schedule meetings, appointments, and conference room reservations.
- Responsible for accurately scanning documents for several departments into appropriate databases ensuring accuracy and legibility.
- Responsible for document destruction per policy after appropriate document scanning has occurred.
- Answering and directing calls utilizing the multi-line telephone system.
- Assists with mail delivery as assigned.
- Support special projects and departmental initiatives as needed.
- Maintains professionalism and confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
- Research genealogy requests for Masonic family history.
- Assists in supplying information for the weekly Masonic Newsletter
- Process award requests for Masonic members and updates record keeping as appropriate.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma required, associate degree or higher, preferred.
- Previous office experience, preferred.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites, preferred.
