Located in beautiful Alma, Michigan, this trusted Masonic resource is a not-for-profit continuing care retirement community offering independent and assisted living, short-stay rehabilitation, and skilled nursing and memory care services to over 400 residents, including Masons and non-Masons.

Masonic Pathways Life Plan Community

The many lifestyle options at Masonic Pathways are designed for residents to live as independently as possible. The vibrant Village Estates is an inviting independent living duplex neighborhood. The comfortable, private rooms and friendly common areas of the Michigan Masonic Home offer four different levels of care and cater to residents needing 24-hour assistance. The Jack F. Sanders Rehabilitation Center cares for those recovering from illness or planning for surgery. And, the Jack F. Sanders Health Care Center is staffed with 24-hour nurses skilled in memory care for dementia or Alzheimer’s.

Best of all, if and when resident healthcare needs change or intensify, they won’t have to move to another facility or give up familiar surroundings. The amenities at Pathways are as diverse as Michigan’s four seasons and keep residents happy year-round. From our beautiful campus and state-of-the-art medical facilities to the trusted friendships between staff and residents, you’ll soon discover that our legacy of caring is the secret to exceptional living.

While residents live independently, they also have priority access to Masonic Pathways health care services, the campus’s daily activities and dining options, among other amenities.

Residential and assisted living at the Masonic Home encourages the freedom to live independently while still providing the quality, specialized care you need. Michigan Masonic Home residents reside in comfortable private rooms and enjoy various social activities in spacious common areas, and amenities include on-site health care and specialty clinics suited to their needs.

Ventilator Dependent Care Unit

Our Ventilator Dependent Care Unit aims to improve the quality of life for residents who are ventilator dependent by providing the least restrictive lifestyle possible. Following an individually developed care plan, uniquely designed to assist residents in achieving their highest potential, most can attain a greater degree of independence.

Residents of Masonic Pathways receive three meals and two snacks a day in their choice of several dining locations. Dinner is typically served mid-day, with a lighter supper menu in the early evening.

Order of Eastern Star Dining Room

For a more formal dining experience, residents of the Michigan Masonic Home enjoy their meals in the newly remodeled Order of the Eastern Star Dining Room. Residents choosing to eat in this atmosphere will find a more traditional dining experience and the flexibility of open seating throughout the day.

The Order of the Eastern Star Dining Room features a restaurant-style menu with both daily specials and numerous seasonal options. Many vegetarian and gluten-free options are available, as well as the opportunity to purchase special items like tenderloin and rib-eye steak, seafood and cocktails. A hostess and wait staff are always on duty to assist with seating and meal selection.

Cash is not accepted and no tipping is allowed in the Eastern Star Dining Room, but guests are always welcome and may purchase O.E.S. meal tickets at the Front Reception Desk.

Please note that there is a dress code requiring appropriate attire.

Wright Place Cafe

For those that prefer an informal setting, there is the Wright Place Café. Shared by residents, visitors and staff, the Café is a cafeteria-style “self-serve” dining area.

In addition to daily specials, the Café features a “made to order” grill where good old fashioned hamburgers and hotdogs, chicken and fish sandwiches, chicken tenders, French Fries, onion rings, pizza and even a plain old grilled cheese sandwich are always available.

For those who prefer a healthier option, there are always two soups and an extensive salad bar. For those with a sweet tooth and for mid-day snacks, the Wright Place Café is where you’ll find delicious muffins, cookies, ice cream and your choice of several popular warm and cold beverages.

Guests are welcome, never need reservations and may pay with cash.

Satellite Dining Rooms

For a more relaxed and private dining experience, residents of the Michigan Masonic Home may choose to eat in one of four smaller satellite dining rooms. Conveniently located within residential neighborhoods, these intimate dining areas are often the choice of those who prefer to dine closer to their living unit.

Per resident request, individual meals are pre-ordered and served at pre-established times.

The wait staff is always available to assist.

Club 81

With the support of Owosso Lodge 81, we now have a very popular area where residents can gather to watch their favorite sporting event, or a myriad of DirecTV options on one of six large flat-screen televisions. This special clubroom offers the opportunity to play pool, tabletop shuffleboard, and a choice of video games.

HuisHaus Theater

In memory of Ruth E. Rust, this newly remodeled theater boasts nine comfortable theater style seats and the latest technology for streaming and viewing new release movies, as well as classic favorites.

Reaching for the Stars Media Center

Sponsored by the Michigan Chapter of the OES, this inviting new area includes a comfortable reading room, extensive library of works by popular authors, and two all-new computer stations.

Thomas A. & Patricia A. Rossman Game Room

For those who prefer to play cards, enjoy more traditional board games, or assemble jigsaw puzzles, this comfortable and well-lit space is perfect for quiet socialization.

Resident Kitchen/Dining Area

Sponsored by Brighton Lodge #247, in memory of Brother Harley Zeeb, this all new kitchen and dining area is for special resident get-togethers. Whether all-inclusive resident meetings and events, individual residents celebrating with family, or Friday popcorn popping, this space is sure to be hopping (or popping) everyday!

Beauty Shop

Residents & staff enjoy utilizing the expert skills of beauticians that work in one of two full-service beauty salons.

Life Walk

Take a stroll around the beautifully landscaped campus of Masonic Pathways and you’ll find the Life Walk. An innovative & engaging series of exercise stations that work both the upper & lower body.

Shuffle Board

Our Shuffleboard courtyard is the place to be during the warm summer months. Everyone is invited to play on the full-size shuffleboard or just relax & enjoy watching at one of the many outdoor tables & chairs.

Putting Green

Our Putting Green is the place to be during the spring & summer months. Golfers will enjoy the putting green that’s sure to help keep your skills fresh in between tee times.

Residents of Masonic Pathways are free to enjoy the beauty and charm of our Home everyday.

Our lovely Grand Living Room is a cozy spot to read the newspaper, watch the birds, or play a game of chess.
