Independent Contractor Beautician

We are seeking a licensed Beautician to provide on-site salon services to residents in our facility. This is an independent contractor opportunity.

Position Details

  • Status: Independent Contractor
  • Schedule: Minimum of 20 hours per week
  • Location: On-site facility salon
  • Chair Rental: $25/week ($1,300 annually)

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional salon services to residents, including:
    • Men’s services: Haircuts and beard trims
    • Women’s services: Shampoos, haircuts, sets, styling, permanents, and coloring
  • Manage appointments (walk-ins welcome, but appointments are encouraged)
  • Maintain personal tools, equipment, and supplies
  • Deliver high-quality, courteous service to residents

Important Notes

  • Residents will pay the beautician directly for services
  • Service pricing is set by the facility- price list provided upon request
  • Reasonable tipping is permitted
  • The beautician is not responsible for transporting residents or providing personal care/assistance

Requirements

  • Must hold a current Michigan Beautician/Cosmetology License
  • Must maintain appropriate professional liability insurance
  • Must operate independently and maintain a clean, professional workspace
