This tax season, the Michigan Masonic Charitable Foundation invites you to consider how your charitable giving can be both thoughtful and strategic—supporting the people and causes that reflect your Masonic values.
Changes in tax laws have shifted how many individuals give, but there are still powerful ways to make a meaningful difference for Masons, their families, and the Lodges and Chapters that care for them—often while providing significant tax advantages.
Here are a few smart options to consider as you plan your giving:
- Gifts of Stock or Cryptocurrency: Avoid capital gains taxes while maximizing your support for the Masonic family and our charitable work.
- IRA Charitable Gifts (for those 70½ or older):Reduce taxable income and, if you are 73 or older, satisfy your Required Minimum Distribution while supporting causes that matter
- Donor‑Advised Fund Grants: Put charitable funds you’ve already set aside to work—sustaining Masonic Assistance, Lodge and Chapter charities, and care for widows and families.
Each of these approaches helps ensure our shared values are lived out through compassionate support, dignity, and care—when it matters most.
Thank you for considering how your resources can create lasting impact within the Masonic family and beyond.
