Responsibilities Will Include:
Maintenance and care of the Michigan Masonic Home grounds and parking lots.
- Mows lawns with tractors and lawn mowers.
- Trims lawns and shrubbery.
- Weeds flower beds
- Edges sidewalks and driveways with trimmers.
- Cleans up debris and picks up trash on the grounds and Village Estates.
- Prepares planting beds by cultivating soil. Plants plant material.
- Performs painting to such items as handrails, benches, poles, and curbs, ect.
- Assists in other activities that the Home provides to Residents. Setup of parade and picnic etc.
- Sets up seasonal outside lighting, i.e. Christmas decorations.
- Removes snow from parking lots and sidewalks through the use of tractors with hydraulic equipment, snow blower, blades and shovels.
- Spreads salt as needed in winter conditions.
- Assists in other physical plant repairs as directed by maintenance supervisor.

Qualifications:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
PREFERRED
Classes completed in any of the following:
- Landscape design, Tree maintenance, Landscaping, Welding, small engine repair.
